Cheap, easy to use storage September 8, 2010 AG (IL) Great drive - plugged it in a open USB2 port and started copying data within minutes!
No issues at all worked right away. A perfect USB disk for the price!
GREAT September 8, 2010 mr.rightrebel This product was very good. Its actually holds a bit less than a terabyte. Around 64 GB less than a terabyte. It is a marvelous product. It works any where. I have had mine for 2 years and it hasn't failed me yet. It has great storage and can be accessed via your computer very easily.
Iomega External Hard Drive for Mac September 7, 2010 Jef Hudson (COLLEGEVILLE, PA, US) Mac compatible hard drive that installed in minutes. Great as a backup to save information but a real pain in the ass to access. I highly recommend getting one of these purely as a backup. Will also be great when you get that brand new Mac and all you have to do is transfer all your files over. For the most part very easy to use. Though I mainly got it to save all my music because I had run out of hard drive space. Now if I want to listen to an album I have to move it from the external hard drive back on to my computer in order for I-Tunes to recognize it. Since I see this more as a Mac problem than an Iomega problem I still gave it four stars. Plus it is pretty cool lookin', can be used on a stand or laying flat, and is very quiet. Overall I think Iomega did a great job on this one and from what I remember I got it at a very good price.
works dandy September 6, 2010 davehoffa Bought two of these for music and photo backup. Backed up one with everything and stuck it in a drawer. Use the other one to listen to music via my Xbox 360. Very easy!
Awesome 1 TB external Hard Drive September 6, 2010 Mario (Miami Beach, FL) I bought this for my grand-uncle (the brother of my gramma). He asked me to put some music on it before giving the drive to him, so I put my brother's 130 GB music collection in it and his 50GB music collection (that I had backup for him before formatting his box). The speed was awesome, and although I am not entirely sure how much time it took to transfer the data - I left the music moving overnight - the estimated time was pretty short (a few hours). The capacity is self-explaining, and the price-per-gigabyte is pretty damn awesome (a year ago I bought a 500GB HDD for $120 bucks xD). Anyway, the drive is pretty small physically (my 500GB external drive is 1.7x larger and heavier), it comes with everything to use it out of the box, and the design is elegant and nice looking. My brother (who gave me the 128GB music collection) is now looking for this same drive as well... considering he gave me years' worth of collecting music, I might as well buy this external HDD for him too!
I am definitely going to buy the 1.5 TB version for myself... or even the 2TB if the price comes down! I definitely recommend this product.
