George Canning (1770-1827). A British statesman, he worked for the emancipation of Roman Catholics. His Ministry lasted only until his death four months later. 1 page autograph letter signed, dated Friday, Oct. 31, no year. The letter is in the third person requesting that his newspaper be sent to South Hill and to continue there. Letter has intergral address leaf, but no postal markings.
